The Pellicciari, a 20 room hotel built in the early twentieth century, has been lovingly renovated to provide all the modern conveniences while retaining its old-fashioned charm. Located just a few steps from the old town in a quiet residential neighbourhood, the Pellicciari is your guarantee of an enjoyable stay. The family-owned hotel is well known for its warm, traditional atmosphere and friendly service. You will find a beautiful garden as well as lovely terrace where you can relax with a delicious italian espresso. The attractive dining room serves succulent regional specialties as well as traditional italian recipes prepared by local women using area produce like fresh porcini, a delectable italian mushroom. In the morning, enjoy a wonderful breakfast with fruit, brioches, and steaming cappuccino in the dining room or on the terrace, where you can catch the first rays of morning sun.
THE TOWN
Perched on a hilltop 800m above sea level, Castiglione dei Pepoli is a small village located at only 30 minutes from Firenze, and easily accessible via Highway A1 (Pian del Voglio exit). With its pure air, old pine forests, and lakes Brasimone-Santa Maria and Tavinella, it's an ideal place for long, leisurely walks. Close by is a well-known old church -Madonna della Consolazione- surrounded by lovely grounds. You can also visit the beautiful valley sanctuary of Boccadiro, a nearby heritage site with a remarkable history of miracles and other events.
